We encourage our residents to share their thoughts and any issues they may have with us on a regular basis to maintain the high level of service which we offer. Our residents also have the opportunity, if they wish to complete a questionnaire about our home and its facilities, and we also ask our local GP's and other health care professionals to assess the home as part of that process.
Brant Howe care home is regularly inspected by (CSCI) (Commission for Social Care Inspection). Copies of the reports can be downloaded from the CSCI website link on the left.
Aims and Objectives
As a family run business since 1982, the management of Brant Howe Residential Home pride ourselves on offering a highly professional care service for the elderly, with a personal touch. We are pleased to accept residents for long term, short term for convalescence and holiday stays.
When people have worked throughout their life and have been committed to helping others, we think they deserve extra cherishing. They need a home where individuality is emphasized, with staff that have time to give attention to small detail, and where they have the choice of enjoying the company of like minded residents.
Social Activities and Entertainment
It is important to retain social integration with the community whether that be local community groups or the church. This is achieved by assisting people to these groups where possible and through activities and visits within the home. Communion is offered twice a month within the home.
Staff provide mental stimulation by means of activities such as bingo, dominoes, sing along's, cards, board games and keep fit. Brant Howe also provides a variety of outside entertainment such as musicians and vocalists and seasonal activities such as bell ringers, choirs and school children are invited into the home. For the animal lovers there is a visit from the pat dog and we have an in house cat and budgerigars. Mini bus excursions are provided according to demand.
Day Care and Respite
Respite service is provided at the home for varying timescale's. A small administration charge is payable for the respite service.
Daycare is also provided, please speak to the manager regarding cost and length of care needed.
